Enscribe is the native hierarchical database in HP NonStop (Tandem) servers. It supports the five file structures: unstructured, key-sequenced, entry-sequenced, relative and queue. Enscribe supports partitioned files which spans across multiple physical disks. It supports locking at file and record levels.
