RED, which produces expensive cameras for professional filmmakers, has decided to try something different. Their Hydrogen One smartphone will be extremely powerful, with aluminum and titanium in the hull and not quite a nice price of 1195 dollars.
However, if RED responds to its own expectations, this price may not be so salty. The company’s bomber press release says the phone will have a 5.7-inch hologram display that can play both normal 2D images and stereo 3D and the special RED-4-view format (whatever that means). It turns out that all this is possible thanks to the nanotechnologies that RED has developed and which do not consider it necessary to explain in greater detail.
Hydrogen One will also have full support for virtual reality, mixed reality and added reality – if your normal reality is insufficient. The goal of RED is to create a phone that can play any formats you remember without the need for additional devices such as 3D glasses. In addition, RED says the phone will be able to integrate with all digital cameras from the company’s portfolio to act as a controller and external monitor. This is not everything, as it was in an advertisement. Hydrogen One is a modular phone that will have a special port for adding different hardware devices.
