Ubuntu is now in the Windows Store

As expected, Microsoft has posted in its online store Windows Store, one of the most popular Linux distributions. All Windows 10 users can now freely download the distribution and install it on their computers.
In May of this year, during the Microsoft Build 2017 event, the software giant announced the possibility of a very simple way to install Ubuntu from the Windows Store and announced the collaboration with the Linux distribution teams SUSE Linux and Fedora Linux on the creation of a workload layer Of Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), which is considered to be the opposite of Wine in Windows OS.
Developers emphasized that with the release of the three popular Linux distributions (Ubuntu, SUSE, and Fedora) in the Windows Store, Linux applications will be able to run directly on the Windows 10 operating system. Additionally, Ubuntu availability in the Windows Store shows that this technology will also work on devices with the Windows 10 S lightweight operating system.
